Social media perplexities
I’ve spent more than eight years working in a busy national digital newsroom; some of my shifts have actually been as the social media producer! But do you think, now that I have my own business, that I can wrangle social media to promote myself and my brand? It’s so tricky! There is so much I need to learn! Luckily my colleagues in The Wedding Society are very knowledgeable and experienced so I know who I can turn to for tips - although there’s only so much I can keep asking without diving right on it and giving it a shot on my own.
Right now I’m working within Canva to develop a brand kit and make my Instagram posts a little more streamlined rather than the higgeldy piggeldy jumble of joy that is currently is. Here’s my logo, designed by an illustrator friend in Melbourne named Lucy Fahey.
I’d better get back to it then. I can’t keep ignoring it and hoping the Magic Marketing Fairy drops by during the night and waves their wand across both my social media presence AND this website, also my own creation (and work in progress) .
